Reason: FAPP is a role-playing game, most posts are based around gameplay_mechanics

I'm not sure if this would fall into the same vein as the video game argument.
What is even the purpose of the role-playing_game tag?

Perhaps there should be a action_game tag, an action/adventure_game, or an action/role-playing_game tag. Then wait for the "Well akshully, it's more of a <genre> type game." arguments.

Though in either case, fapp is a bit too close to fap or fapping for my liking. It should probably be fapp_(game) instead.

this seems like something that could easily be miss tagged if someone was slang tagging masturbation and hit and extra button.

Those make sense to tag with role-playing_game. I don't see the benefit in tagging the others with it though.
