I apologise if this has been asked before, but I'd like to ask for information on a very specific set of circumstances.

There is an artist that frequently has their art uploaded to this site. This artist has been making a comic that has, naturally, been uploaded here as it has been released. There are three pages of this comic that are yet to be posted. However, this creator has recently deactivated their Patreon and removed all content within it. As a result, these comic pages are no longer accessible publicly.

I've been a patron of this creator for a while, and was able to archive the three unreleased pages before they were wiped. However, I'm unsure about posting them. As well as that, how would I provide a source to images that are no longer accessible through channels created by that artist?

What's the policy on this? Thanks.

Posting Patreon-exclusive content is explicitly prohibited unless you have gotten the artist's permission to do so.
This includes deleted Patreon content as well since they were never released publicly by the artist.

Gotcha. Thanks for filling me in. I'll refrain from posting those pages. I would ask them for permission but I think that it's only fair, since they're taking an extended break, to not bother them at the moment.

Always ask the artist, no matter what. Also, besides your Patreon problem. You'd be surprised how often they are happy that someone shares their content. Just be sure to add the source and stuff.
