In cases like Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, while each game is its own world and canon, there are plenty of same-name characters. I'm not really sure where to take this one, if characters are always different, even in name.

the implications should still exist for convenience, no? shared characters or not the umbrella tag would still serve a purpose for those who want to use it
