Reason: Scp's are "from" the scp foundation, and some other tags imply it already, this is a BUR to imply ~~almost~~ the rest of them.
Should I keep going and imply the rest? The usage curve falls off very sharply... ~~Just wanted a general consensus before continuing.~~

Shouldn't all the SCP-001 SCPs imply SCP-001 rather than SCP foundation directly, since there is no true singular SCP-001, and all of those under SCP-001 are classified as such?

That could probably work, and there seems to be more 001 tags that have been created since this BURS last edit, If no objections, I'll edit it so 001 variations imply 001, which them implies the foundation.

Also, should they all be characters? some appears to be in the species category currently, and Im not sure if that should change.

Small personal note so i dont forget while i sort through the EIGHT PAGES of tags:
BUR ends before scp-870, so start there.

Ok as discussed in the discord, I think there were a few conclusions made.
1. there is a possible issue with fan characters not labeled as such
2. scps can be: Things (general category), Locations (also general), Individual characters (Character), Groups of things (like a species of bugs, Species category).

The New Holland Campaign (🇫🇷:La Campagne de Nouvelle-Hollande) is both an SCP-001 Proposal and from the French branch, so I believe scp-001-fr_(la_campagne_de_nouvelle-hollande) and any other regional 001s should imply both scp-001 and scp_foundation_{language_here}_branch. No foreign branch has nearly as many proposals as the English branch (which has fifty last I counted) so I guess making their own scp-001-{language_here} tags would be excessive.

As for a personal opinion regarding these tags: scp-1471 should not imply scp-1471-a, should not be a character tag, and all posts with the former should be combed through. SCP-1471-A is the character, where as SCP-1471 is a software that allow people so see SCP-1471-A. I feel that scp-1471 should only appear on posts that shows SCP-1471-A through photographs or through screen, as a digital creature; i.e. the "MalO ver1.0.0" app in use.

Certainly. Aside from the SCP-1471-A OCs above, I would like to note that not everything tagged scp-#### is a real SCP, or is one any longer:

Offsite communities have been making unofficial SCPs using numbers in excess of what the newest series is. From personal experience, when I google an SCP I wrote (not saying which or what writer I am, I'm not a shameless plug), I get an OC on Amino instead of the actual entry. For an example on e621, post #3016335 was tagged with scp-6714 in November 2021, before For Duck's Sake! was posted in March 2022.
The old SCP-1926 was deleted for plagiarism of Elly Zupko's mewts and is now an Atari Matrix; the old SCP-2444 was deleted by the original author (I presume, not certain) and replaced with an extradimensional flea circus; and the old SCP-1162 was taken down, reposted to the RPC Authority as RPC-354, and removed again after the original author got butthurt over liberals or whatever it was and left the site.

Now I'm starting to question: should SCPs from deleted stories be tagged as scp-####_({writer_name}) or scp-####_({story_name})?

Also:

Two SCP-939 that have character tags (SCP-939-53 and SCP-939-101) originate from the wiki, however SCP-939-168 appears to have been created for the SCP: Secret Laboratory indie game.
The scp-682-b and styx_nacht_ii tags both refer to the same reinterpretation of SCP-682 by the-hydroxian.

And concepts! SCP-1313 is an equation that summons an angry grizzly bear. :3

Technically, some aren't quite species, but a population of a species. SCP-2036 and SCP-2037 are respectively instances of European rabbits that combust into flames upon death and Desert Cottontail rabbits that crumble into dust when scared. And SCP-363 are for all intents Amazonian giant centipedes... except when they're not.

I couldn't get scp-001_(r|a|g|e) to work by pressing the "|" key, so I got a character from Wikipedia and used it. Its either Unicode U+007C | or U+2223 ∣, I forget which one worked.

Already done implying variants to the base 001, and will imply the french one to the french branch.

BUR #7181 (001 variants to 001) is safe
BUR #7204 (shuffle around language branches) is also good
scp-e621-2 is... out of commission for an undetermined amount of time.

Now I'm starting to question: should SCPs from deleted stories be tagged as scp-####_({writer_name}) or scp-####_({story_name})?

I'd put any unofficial SCPs as scp-####_({writer_name}), with the exception of the Mewts in particular. Since there's no SCP-1926-1 in the current iteration of the story, I'd suggest aliasing scp-1926-1 to mewt_(elly_zupko).

Besides that, I agree with all the changes Slocheze is suggesting. ~~You can trust anyone's opinion on the SCP Wiki when they put a massive text post in a dropdown.~~

IMO, individual models shouldn't be tagged. If it's the character, the character should be tagged normally, and if someone's model was used, the modeller can be tagged for copyright if necessary. It just gets confusing and messy when a specific modeller's model is tagged as a character when it's not, especially if it's alongside the real character tag.

If it is a unique character, it should be tagged as that character and not the original.

All three will probably need to be aliased together, to something like scp-1471-a_(character) and have scp-1471_(app) for depictions of the app (and disambiguate malo since there are multiple characters, species, and copyrights with the same or similar name ).

Isn't SCP itself a kind of community-driven project, that doesn't really have an "official" IP owner (or if it does, it's basically in name only)? That a "real" SCP is only whatever the community accepts as one.

Not really. There's already a wiki filled with over 8000 SCPs, and you'd be hard-pressed to find any fan who would consider an SCP outside of it as "real." It's a community-driven project in the sense that anyone can contribute to the wiki, but only after their account has been approved, and only if they're willing to go through greenlighting and critique and praying that their post doesn't hit a score of -15 or below.

Yup. Series XI IX opened the beginning of this month. The K Cons have gotten more frequent over the years, they're almost annual now.

I remember back when I first got into it as a kid from Markiplier's videos and they were still filling up Series III.

There's currently one post each for SCP-ES-262 and the SCP Foundation Spanish Branch,^2. SCP-800-KO and the SCP Foundation Korean Branch, and SCP-162-DE and the SCP Foundation German Branch.

You forgot the -jp in imply scp-040 -> scp_foundation_japanese_branch. SCP-040 is a human girl that can manipulate organic mater to create specialized pets.

Also, I forgot about the canons! While the site has no one unified storyline and there's many things that contradict one another, there are rough groups of storylines. Some characters originate from certain canons, while others are just featured in it and aren't really exclusive. There's a whole bunch of them, ranging from where the anomalous became public knowledge after the entire Korean peninsula disappeared or the bug apocalypse ensued or the concept of death was killed, to humanity's space refugees in the 22nd century or the wild west alternate universe or the traveling circus of extradimensional clowns and their symbiotic worms.

I've tagged a few:

Bellerverse — It's one of the older ones. Reimagines the Earth recovering from an apocalypse and several characters are a pantheon of new deities. (Hub)
In Memoria, Adytum — A story line centered around various flesh cults that are the remnants of an ancient empire that fell with the the Late Bronze Age collapse. (Hub)

The only character tagged so far is The Goatman, but also includes other cryptids, SCP-001 "Story of Your Life" (the wiki's narrative is sentient), and SCP-4040 (a bottomless? pit)

There Is No Antimemetics Division — Focuses on the Foundation's department of antimemetic research as it is erased by an eldritch horror. The author, qntm, published it as a book a few years back. (SCP Wiki) (qntm's site)

The protagonist is Marion Wheeler, the main antagonist is SCP-3125, and includes SCP-055 (something forgettable that isn't round) and SCP-2256 (Polynesian sauropods with memory-wiping camouflage).

Those Twisted Pines — Generally set in Oregon and focused around a corrupt robotics company, an optimistic animal sanctuary, and an extradimensional enclave of magicians. Keep Portland Weird but Keep Three Portlands Weirder. (Hub)

Includes SCP-1360 (a Peregrine series humanoid utility droid), SCP-3560 (a robot afterlife), and SCP-3310 (literally just the Old Man of the Lake ).

Undervegas — The SCP Foundation and the Nevada Gaming Commission (which is comprised of demons that left Hell due to the high tax rates) cooperate to prevent Las Vegas from collapsing into Hell due to its sheer sinfulness. (Hub)
WHORE OF BLOOD — A jackal demoness hired by the Foundation's legal department. Fantem really is a furry. (Hub)

Includes SCP-6159-1 (the jackal demoness), SCP-6159-2 (her imp servant), and Mammon Istjur Ansiel (fly demon who turns out to be the one communicated with via SCP-738).

There's a few canons haven't been tagged yet but are in posts. When Day Breaks marked the beginning of the Daybreak canon, and one character, the "Crocosquid" (see post #4192328), is the focus of the War On All Fronts canon: the events and aftermath of a kaiju attack on the fairy island nation of Hy-Brasil.
