The second part of the katakana reads as "mimizuku" and so does his twitter and twitch names.
I think it being translated as "mizuku" is just a quirk of google translate.

This was the tag that someone had created for the artist, and it doesn’t appear to have been used for anyone else yet. This appears to be the only one whose art is remotely furry, anyway. Though the alias could perhaps use the full name instead? The idea is to help people find the artist, as someone may try to search for them just by copy-pasting the Japanese text.

I guess this is sort of late, but yeah, mimizuku_729 is probably is probably best since it's official english from the artist.

Don't rely on Google Translate for names. "mato mizuku" is a wrong translation/romanization of マト・ミミズク, which is properly romanized as "mato mimizuku" (an extra "mi" in there). In any case, I don't think we need to make aliases for alternate artist names, unless it's shown to be a common mistag. The artists page allows searching for an artist by their main and alternate names (when the artist has an artist page made, which you should make when missing), which will also work to get the right tag from the original Japanese spelling (searching マト・ミミズク there gives the right result).

Well, the alias doesn’t harm anything either, as nobody else seems to be using that name or anything similar to it. And as that is the translation Google gives, even though it’s incorrect, it’s not unlikely that people will use it again in the future and maybe even attempt to tag it. That is the tag that was previously being used for the artist before someone changed the tags to the artist’s Twitter name.

okay, it was I who created the tag, but I was only changing the kanji artist tag that was in use previously, as I know kanji characters aren’t allowed in tags. Thank Google for the poor translation.
