Should these two games have separate tags? Many other series don't, what makes this one worth keeping aside from having some new characters?

If the games should have separate tags, though, then I think there should be a base tag for both Mario+Rabbids games that they would imply, and that base tag imply mario bros instead.

I'd argue yes since that game is a crossover, thus isn't just a part of the Mario Bros. franchise but also part of the Rabbids franchise as well.

Basically, alias mario_plus_rabbids_kingdom_battle and mario_plus_rabbids_sparks_of_hope to mario_plus_rabbids, which would then implicate both mario_bros and raving_rabbids? I can go with that (as I was not aware that this crossover was now a series). At the very least, it would streamline the tags, especially if future games be added.

I think it depends how distinct the games are from one another. I haven’t played any of them, so I can’t tell, but if you could reasonably tell them apart in two different images on the site, I’d think they should be kept separate.

I think Sparks of Hope is literally a sequel? Same universe, same (earlier, now) lore, just later on.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not distinct. Skyrim is the sequel to Oblivion, sharing the same world, but the two games are very easily distinguished. They have no major characters in common and take place both in a different era and different parts of the world.

I think I’d want a fan of the series to say whether or not they think they could tell the difference between the games from any of the images tagged on the site.

do we generally have crossover series' tags imply their parent series' tags? we could have posts related to the crossover that only contain stuff that relates to one of the two parent series, or, potentially, even stuff that's only from the crossover but not from either parent. I know with stuff like super_smash_bros. we don't have it imply everything that makes _it_ up, but maybe that's kind of a special case?

I don’t know how these are usually handled, but Super Smash Bros would have to imply dozens of different games, each with only a marginal influence on the game itself, as opposed to a 50/50 crossover, so I could see why it would be treated differently.

+1 for a mario_plus_rabbids umbrella tag for all these (or for aliasing them to mario_plus_rabbids, I've never played them and have no idea if they're distinguishable in art)
