For one thing, there's more than one Pete out there, including the one they're all based on: Mickey Mouse's archenemy, Peg-Leg Pete AKA Black Pete AKA Big, Bad Pete. Generally, thoughts were that your alias should be reversed as an implication, the various Petes implying pete_(disney) as they can often be difficult to tell apart even though they're different characters.
