The bulk update request #2838 is pending approval.

create implication laplus_darkness (36) -> vtuber (4790)
create alias pngtuber (69) -> vtuber (4790)
create implication arctica_(arctica_the_fox) (2) -> vtuber (4790)
create implication maverick_(betaetadelota) (30) -> vtuber (4790)
create implication redvelvety (1) -> vtuber (4790)
create implication omusubi_inaho (3) -> vtuber (4790)
create alias mcyt (0) -> vtuber (4790) # duplicate of has blocking transitive relationships, cannot be applied through BUR
create alias youtuber (1315) -> vtuber (4790) # duplicate of has blocking transitive relationships, cannot be applied through BUR
create alias virtual_youtuber (0) -> vtuber (4790) # duplicate of has blocking transitive relationships, cannot be applied through BUR

Reason: Aliased "vtuber' to "virtual_youtuber" as it means the same thing.
All character implications to "virtual_youtuber" or "pngtuber" are done because aforementioned characters are icons used by Vtubers.
PNGtubers, by definition, are "a type of VTuber who use 2D PNGs as their virtual avatars".

Should be the other way around, since vtubers aren't exclusive to youtube. I don't think we need to distinguish pngtuber, or need a tag for generic "youtuber"s. "mcyt" is incredibly archaic, and unnecessary to have a Minecraft-specific youtuber tag.

IMO, alias virtual_youtuber and pngtuber -> vtuber, and invalidate youtuber and mcyt.

Understandable, how do I change it? I’m quite new.

Edit: I have changed it

create implication laplus_darkness (40) -> virtual_youtuber (1601)
create alias mcyt (137) -> invalid_tag (4) # duplicate of has blocking transitive relationships, cannot be applied through BUR
create alias pngtuber (6) -> vtuber (144)
create implication pngtuber (6) -> virtual_youtuber (1601)
create implication arctica_(arctica_the_fox) (3) -> pngtuber (6)
create implication maverick_(betaetadelota) (19) -> pngtuber (6)
create implication redvelvety (1) -> pngtuber (6)
create implication omusubi_inaho (2) -> virtual_youtuber (1601)

I'm afraid this is going to make the BUR hΓΆrk itself. If we're aliasing away pngtuber, we can't also implicate it to anything nor implicate anything to it. And if we're going to alias away virtual_youtuber at some point, we can't implicate anything to it, either. As for mcyt, that's a repeat of two of your previous suggestions.

A suggestion for a revised BUR:

create implication laplus_darkness -> vtuber
create alias pngtuber -> vtuber
create implication arctica_(arctica_the_fox) -> vtuber
create implication maverick_(betaetadelota) -> vtuber
create implication redvelvety -> vtuber
create implication omusubi_inaho -> vtuber

As for mcyt, I recommend asking for this implication to be rejected and one of your BURs edited with:

create alias mcyt -> vtuber

(The other BUR shouldn't have that line, of course. You only need it on one BUR.)

Also, as we're aliasing away these terms as Watsit suggests, you'll also want to:

create alias youtuber -> vtuber
create alias virtual_youtuber -> vtuber

Not all Minecraft Youtubers are vtubers.

The O.P. is banned now though, preventing them from fixing the BUR. Yet another mess for vtuber, will these tags ever get fixed?

I've been skimming abit, but what is atleast a 100%? Like, aliasing Virtual_youtuber -> vtuber?
Also i'm assuming this thread is dead, and a new BUR should just be made?

Aliases for virtual_youtuber and pngtuber -> vtuber seem fine. Any character or persona that is a vtuber/pngtuber can also implicate vtuber. But "youtuber" should be invalidated as it's too broad and generic (it's essentially like tagging movie_star or tv_actor), along with "mcyt" which is too archaic and not the same thing as a vtuber.

To be honest, I have little idea about vtuber/youtuber/whatever and only made my suggestions using the information provided and an apparently imperfect understanding of what everyone is talking about. (You don't have to be old to be out of touch with popular culture. I was so since a child.) I expected Nancy 63 1289A and others to correct me as necessary. Personally, I'd just invalidate the 'tuber tags as they're not TWYS as far as I can see.

However, I don't need to know about youtubers to know that this BUR is going to fail due to improperly connected aliases and implications.

Vtuber indicates they're a certain type of character, it's a copyright, not a TWYS issue as far as I understand it. As a tag, it has utility, someone may want to find fanart of "all vtubers" or vtubers regardless of their company, and it also helpfully collects independent vtubers, of which, many are furry characters.

On the other hand, youtuber and mcyt are both big cans of worms, youtuber doesn't have a unifying theme beyond "is someone that uploads to Youtube" what's our standard for who counts? Do we base it off of subscriber counts? Do they have to have a character/drawn persona to fit, or do we include depictions of real people as well? Do we include fictional characters shown uploading to Youtube? Should we have tags for Tiktok users, Twitch streamers... and would it really be useful as a tag? I'd say no, just like we don't have tags for real life actors or musicians. "Mcyt" is esoteric, and vague, and the term only seems to be used by fans of Dream and the other streamers around him, there are hundreds of Youtube creators making Minecraft content that "MCYT" doesn't seem to apply to, it's not a very useful tag for a furry art archive.

Thank you.

This shows that, in any discussion about terms, it's best to first define what all the terms mean so that everyone properly understands what's being talked about.

Of course, that won't prevent someone like me from missing it if it were already posted before. :\
