Topic: [APPROVED] <3 to Heart BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #2984 is active.

remove alias heart_pupils (2611) -> <3_eyes (10)
remove alias heart-shaped_pupils (108) -> <3_eyes (10)
remove alias heart_shaped_pupils (13) -> <3_eyes (10)

Reason: It was decided in topic #27282 that <3_* should be changed to heart_* in tag naming conventions.

alias <3_pupils -> heart_pupils
alias <3-shaped_pupils -> heart_pupils
alias <3_shaped_pupils -> heart_pupils
alias heart-shaped_pupils -> heart_pupils
alias heart_shaped_pupils -> heart_pupils

EDIT: The bulk update request #2984 (forum #341472) has been approved by @gattonero2001.

There are many other <3_* -> heart_* tag aliases that I have excluded, including the one you have suggested here, due to issues with tag use overlap.
Something will still need to be done with <3_eyes after the unaliasing.

I'd vote to move <3_eyes to heart_eyes and have heart_pupils imply it. Not all instances of hearts in eyes involve the actual pupils being heart-shaped- you can have hearts in the eye alongside the pupil/iris. Or at least that's how I've been applying <3_eyes.

I believe that it would be more useful to separate the three concepts.

They are quite visually distinct in my opinion.

Additionally there might be posts in which there are hearts outside of the pupils but contained within the irises, though I can't seem to find any at the moment.

Maybe so, but are people going to know there are different tags, and use them correctly? Or will it be the case that too many people will tag without knowing that there are different tags, or knowing which tag is for which, and not enough people fixing mistags, so they all end up jumbled together regardless?
