Topic: [APPROVED] Floral pattern and print BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #2988 is active.

create alias floral_patterns (0) -> floral_pattern (735)
create alias flower_pattern (0) -> floral_pattern (735)
create alias flower_patterns (0) -> floral_pattern (735)
create alias flower_print (0) -> floral_print (1040)

Reason: A BUR that consolidates multiple possible spellings of floral patterns and prints.

Since floral means "of or related to flowers", the words "flower" and "floral" are nearly synonymous in the context of patterns and prints.

I did not add an alias for flower_clothing -> floral_clothing since it's arguable that flower_clothing more strongly implies clothing that is literally made of flowers.

EDIT: The bulk update request #2988 (forum #341481) has been approved by @bitWolfy.

"print" is for clothing. I would think that "pattern" is would be a catchall (implied by *_print, *_marking, *_background, etc.), but the tags really aren't used very often, and the ones that are don't have any implications/aliases.

If that's the case, should we throw in an implication of floral_print -> floral_pattern along with these aliases? In my opinion we shouldn't have multiple tags that mean the same or extremely similar things, so honestly another alias would be better, if pattern is a catchall and print is only for clothing, but at the very least an implication would be in order.
