remove alias crotaphytidae (0) -> collared_lizard (251)
remove alias crotaphytid (0) -> collared_lizard (251)
remove implication leopard_lizard (0) -> collared_lizard (251)
create alias gambelia (0) -> leopard_lizard (0)
Reason: The Crotaphytid family isn't very popular within the furry fandom right now, but e621's current tag implication/alias structure will lead to improper tagging if these species should grow in popularity in the future.
The reptilian family Crotaphytidae consists of two genuses:
Gambelia (leopard lizards)
Crotaphytus (collared lizards)
Currently, leopard_lizard implicates collared_lizard, which is incorrect. Collared lizards are a distinct genus from leopard lizards.
Furthermore, the family name Crotaphytidae and related descriptor, Crotaphytid, currently alias to collared_lizard. This is also incorrect, as Crotaphytidae includes the leopard lizards, which are not collared lizards.
The proposed BUR will avoid potential errors such as a long-nosed leopard lizard being incorrectly tagged as a collared lizard.
Final note:
In addition to the four commands in my proposed script above, would like to propose these three additional alias/implication changes, to implicate the broader crotaphytid classification for all collared lizards and leopard lizards. However, I think the unalias and unimplicate command of my BUR have to go through first. When I tried to submit the following three commands in the same script as the initial unimplicate/unalias commands, I got an error which I think is caused by the existing alias of crotaphytid to collared_lizard.
alias crotaphytidae -> crotaphytid implicate collared_lizard -> crotaphytid implicate leopard_lizard -> crotaphytid
