Topic: This website is the best in the world but....

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I love almost anything about this site, especially the way you can blacklist the content you don't want to see. But I do have one small complaint, this complaint is about what ads are shown. I'm ok with banner ads if they aren't intrusive, but I am tired of seeing all these ads that are straight yiff ads, ads for "games" that aren't up to my standard of quality, and almost 3/4th of the ads seem to be straight hentai. I just wish you could have personalized ads where I can have things advertised to me that fit into the content/sexuality that I pertain to. I have pretty much everything relating to straight yiff and non-furry blacklisted, but the ads don't follow the blacklist entries. I have seen only one ad that was for content/items that I would want, everything else has been spam, in my eyes anyway. If anything can't be done about this, that's fine, I just would rather it be more inclusive.

The URLs contain the advertiser at the end:

https://ads.dragonfru.it/www/delivery/cl.php?bannerid=792&...&oadest=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.f-list.net%2F

Where it says www.f-list.net

It shouldn't be too hard to find a way to selectively block ads for www.humanporn.com even if there are dozens of different banners.

I believe various ad blockers can selectively block ads that match patterns like this, but you can also do it with custom CSS styles in your account settings.

#ad-leaderboard-content a[href*="https%3A%2F%2Fsimlnk.net%2Fportal%2F%3Fr%3D1c9539e8c4"] {
    display: none !important;
}

Just use the content that comes after &oadest= to block any ads that go to that domain.

You could also use a[href*="simlnk.net"] to make extra sure all the Hentai Diaries ads are blocked, though that'll also come with the downside of ads for Furry Beach Club and Galactic Monster Quest being blocked too.

I think there was another forum post about having the ability to blacklist ads, but that it might cause issue with contracts and visibility.
but it was also brought up that if a person has it blacklisted, they arent likely to click on it in the first place.

Thank you, very thorough.

There could be a way to make it viable, but it would almost certainly create extra work for some admin.

Custom CSS is probably the way to go. If you feel strongly about certain ads but don't want to block all ads, you can choose to block them individually.

I dislike what isn’t included in the Global Blacklist. So I’m making a request to those with the authority to change what isn’t included in the Global Blacklist.

I know what the Blacklist is and how to use it but I’m quite often using the incognito browser to search for content I like. I know I can sign in to my account even when using the incognito browser to gain the control that only a member has over what they want to see and what they do not. (I can be too lazy to take the extra steps needed to gain control over what content I do not wish to see.[I know it’s my problem]) But!

After looking at what this website says is the use for the Global Blacklist;
Which is by my understanding the blocking of non-member users seeing content containing young characters in combination with other tags such as nudity, visible genitalia and any sexual themes implied or otherwise.
I found that it also includes other tags such as blocking any content which contains gore.
So what if I want to request that content which falls under the gore tag but isn’t included in the Global Blacklist be included in the Global Blacklist?
Since the content in question includes the castration tag but is only applicable through implication and therefore does not qualify for the gore tag(I think), it slips through the censorship. So can you put any tag that falls under gore also on the Global Blacklist?

I’m now unsure as I realise that you probably can’t imply gore since I believe that gore is the presence of what is defined as gore in the present. Unless implied gore is created as a tag then I believe that my request will be denied. Oh well.

Castration is mostly shown with gore and so if there is a presence of gore in the content showing castration then the problem is that the gore tags simply weren’t added to the content. I do want Implied castration and castration to be included on the Global Blacklist a lot as it would make the site safer to use for those who hate to see that kind of content but don’t want to make an account and sign in every time unless they don’t mind the risk that their use of this site without the use of the incognito browser could lead to them accidentally showing someone a porn website which would be horribly embarrassing. Those who say to just use a different device for porn. Some people don’t have the money for another device and I believe in general people use any and all personal devices for their porn and everything else. I hope that someone who is better at logically thinking than I am can solve this problem in favour of the change.

I’m also tempted to delete everything I’ve written since I’m not sure if I like the fact that I put in so much effort to change a porn site. It’s weighs on my mind enough so that I question the moral value of myself. Ugh😮‍💨such pain.

Thanks if you took the time to read my request and I wish you a pleasant day.

Did you seriously just copy and paste that to three different threads? :facepalm:
