-Morally speaking, on the whole "Real art vs AI art" topic, 3d art is a little hard to think about.
Technically 3d art has always been automated in some way with all the simulation stuff and what not, it's an art medium with a lot of smart background tools running in the background.
-And I see AI as a very useful tool to further assist 3D stuff, first there is the chatting Ai that can create scripts according to your prompt.
-Then there is the possibility of AI generating textures to apply on models.
-And there is this alternative way of scanning irl stuff with Neural Radiance Fields
Edit: typo
Nvidia did this recently These models are far away from being usable for games. But I would assume, they can speed up modeling process.
It's now apparent that AI can be used to create 3D models, or help in the process.
Any graphic designer should be keeping up with these developments and learning how to use these tools when they become available.
