Topic: Tag implication: aycee -> Roanoak

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag implication #47717 aycee -> roanoak has been rejected.

Reason: They're the same artist there's no reason for there to be two seperate tags.

The seperate tags just caused me to accidently post duplicates when I tried checking the aycee tag for said posts not realizing it was posted under roanoak a while ago

EDIT: The tag implication aycee -> roanoak (forum #351770) has been rejected by @SmuglytheRat.

Always provide off-site citations when proposing artist aliases, no matter how common knowledge you believe it may be.

The official website is https://ayceeart.com/ and Twitter is @AyCeeArt

The username for Patreon is PeppermintHusky but states on the page "Hi! My name is AC (Or Aycee, or Ace depending on where you've seen my art)" - no mention of Roanoak.

The only website that seems to use Roanoak is their Fur Affinity account which presumably has just been stuck with that username since 2009 because of a lack of name change feature.

Therefore I think this should be reversed and instead alias roanoak -> aycee

The respective wiki pages for both names have the same sources under the same names, Aycee, Pepperminthusky, and Roanoak are all the same artist even according to their wikis, if you think Roanoak should be aliased into aycee then OK, but the point is they're the same artist under different names and shouldn't have two seperate tags

Anyone can edit the wikis, and there have been cases of an artist's wiki page being modified to say two artists are the same and then an alias request made citing the wiki, without any externally verifiable proof they are the same. It's always advisable to use the artist's own galleries to show they're the same. Also, you requested an implication when it should be an alias.

How about the artist's own contact page on their own website then?

It clearly links to accounts named Aycee (or AC) and others named Roanoak

(Also apologies for not putting it in as a implication rather than an alias, I haven't had to use it before so I didn't know)

Learning curves. You won't know for sure until you try doing it.

Anyway, to reject your request, all you have to do is click on the implication #47717 in your OP and hit "Reject" at the bottom of the Implication request.
