A bit of a joke argument, but what about this?

One is staring into another's eyes, but the other is avoiding eye contact with the other. Therefore no eye contact.

The looking_at_each_other tag should be unaliased from eye_contact, though. In a picture where two characters are staring at each others' butts or genitalia, it is looking at each other, but not eye contact.

yeah! a bit double-edged sword. sometimes, characters won't really look directly into other's eyes, usually either nose, hair, neck, all that relatable neurodivergent scenerio haha

i can totally see that... but before your argument, all other staring_at_eyes posts were only looking into the eyes, pupils per se. twys on the post, the character looks like it's staring at other's eyelids/eyebrows... for a benefit, your argument definitely supports urielfrys' argument too or even "looking_at_eyes" tag? x]

Ye I can see "looking_at_eyes" functioning better, +1 for that idea.

Using "+Looking_at_eyes +eye_focus ~looking_away ~looking_up +nervous" would probably be enough to find this picture I used as example.
