Topic: What to do after noticing artist has e621-account, but their e621-account NOT linked to their artist tag???

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Occasionally I've noticed an e621 account with an artist name is uploading their own work (which is great),
but I notice their e621 artist page doesn't link to their e621 account.

https://e621.net/help/artists says
"If you are an artist with an e621 account and would like your account linked to your artist tag, please contact an admin."

So if a non-admin notices an artist name e621 account,
the proper route for the non-admin is to use e621's dm/"Send message" to suggest to artist account they can contact an admin??? (to link their account to their artist tag)

If yes, any suggestion(s) on better wording to send in the message?

example: username trioami https://e621.net/users/384561
has uploaded 297 posts, all of them tagged with artist tag trioami260.

I would contact them saying something among the lines of:

"Hello! I noticed you upload a lot by yourself on e621, did you know you could have a (free) verified status right besides your artist tag?
(Cite post examples with other verified artists names)

If you're interested in that, please contact site staff through these methods:
(Cite Dragonfruit social on FA, and maybe admins socials on FA and inkbunny?)

One of the advantages of being a verified artist, is that is raises the speed at which someone will review your own uploads. Knowing the artists posted their own art takes away a lot of background checking issues like checking if the source was pay-site exclusive, stolen, etc.

The Discord has a useful pin in case someone asks about being verified:

Greetings!

We can certainly do that, however you'll have to verify that you're actually the artist via note off-site to one of our accounts.

The accounts we offer:

Just saying you'd like your artist tag linked to your account, and linking us your account, is enough for that.

Best Regards,
~
The e621 Staff

It shouldn't be hard to adapt for what you want.

Overall, it looks good. If you don't mind a few tweaks:

Hello! I noticed you upload a lot of your art to e621. Did you know you could have a free verified status check mark shown right besides your artist tag on pictures you upload? The advantage of being a verified artist is that it raises the speed someone can review your own uploads. Knowing the artist posted their own art takes away a lot of background checking issues like checking if the source isn't pay-site exclusive, stolen, etc.

As a suggestion, at the bottom, perhaps you could say something you like about their art. A little ego stroking can't hurt.
