Topic: [APPROVED] mutilation

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #4311 is active.

create implication breast_mutilation (57) -> mutilation (2159)
create implication facial_mutilation (0) -> mutilation (2159)
create implication genital_mutilation (1567) -> mutilation (2159)
create implication self_mutilation (1) -> mutilation (2159)

Reason: I do not want to see mutilation and for some reason, specific mutilation tags aren't implicated as mutilation

EDIT: The bulk update request #4311 (forum #359486) has been approved by @furrypickle.

In the meantime, add

*mutilation

to your blacklist.

Hmm, I wonder how efficient wildcard expansion is... I always worry that automating anything with a wildcard will come to bite me (or the servers/client) in the rear.
Yeah, nice trick, though!

The blacklist is 100% client-side in order to avoid killing the server, so you're safe there. Wildcards in searches are brute-force expanded into every matching tag before being passed to the database, which is why they don't work correctly if there are more than 40 possible matches (the search term limit).

I actually tested that a few hours ago and yes... it actually worked. So 40 is a reasonable limit. Thanks for confirming!
