I sort by top a lot, so I see the same posts often. these aren't posts I have favorited, so I can't -fav.
I'd like to have a button at the bottom of the page where I can just click 'hide' and not see the post anymore. it could be like blacklist, but not broad if that makes sense.

you could blacklist with id:, putting the post's ID numbers after the :, to blacklist that specific post, which will result in you being able to hide the post or show it at your whim. for example, id:626747 would blacklist post #626747. and if you want to blacklist multiple of them, put each ID on it's on line like you would with any other blacklisted tag or set of tags.

you can find the ID of a post in the post's URL or on the bottom-left corner of the post, in the section called "information" located underneath the tags section.
