Porn with a character saying "I'm 14!" might make someone very uncomfortable, even if the character looks adult enough to not be tagged young under TWYS and isn't young_(lore) due to an artist disclaimer. There should be a way to blacklist this.
Stated_adult is a counterpart for adult characters. I went with young over underage to match all our other tags for young characters.

Not sure to be honest. But conversely, people into it might specifically want to search for young characters talking about how young they are. I figured since stated_underage already had 80+ uses when I found it that there was already demand for it. (I personally tagged all the stated_adult ones myself, though, just to match stated_underage. Apologies if I jumped the gun on that)

What about characters whos age changes? I uploaded some art of Penny Carson from Bojack Horseman. In her first appearance, she is stated that she is 17, and it’s the legal age in new mexico(not that that part matters here) but all her other appearances she has aged and is in college. I get tagging her as young when she is depicted in her prom dress, that implies her first appearance. But what about when she is not in that dress. In every episode except her first appearance, she was an adult. How should I tag her?

Tag her as you see her. If she looks under 18, tag young, if she doesn't, don't. If the artist of a particular piece says she's over 18, but the post is tagged young because of how she looks, tag adult_(lore) too. If the artist says she's under 18, but isn't tagged young because she looks older, tag young_(lore). A character's "I'm an adult" or "I'm young" statement doesn't influence how you use these tag.

Okay, but what if author statements don't exists? Do their lore ages not get tagged despite the statement?

IMO, that's correct. Characters can lie, or mean something different than what e6 tags are intended for (e.g. a character saying they're young, with it unspoken they're 20 years old relative to a 30 year old), so the character saying it doesn't inherently mean the tag is applicable.

But she pretty much looks identical. There is zero difference between the character models. So unless she’s draw in her prom dress or waitress uniform, she could be either and she looks like an adult in all the pics. Does she always get tagged as adult?

Don't worry about how the show depicts her when younger or older. Take an objective look at each image and try to determine if someone who's never seen the show before would look at her and think "She looks young". If you can't tell if the young tag is appropriate or not, don't worry about it and let others handle the tag as they see fit.

A lot of people make this mistake: the "lore" in the lore tags refers exclusively to what the artist of a specific image has said about that specific image. No other form of external information is admissible. In the case of fanart, this specifically excludes "official" canon from the comic or show it was based on. The classic example here is adult_(lore) being applied to a completely on-model drawing of a character who's 10 years old in the show, because the artist says "all characters in my drawings are over 18" and "it's just stylisation guys" and "why do you hate the chibi aesthetic so much?".

Otherwise these tags are going to mostly be model sheets or posts where a character's age is listed along with some other attributes, (especially stated_adult) that just happen to state that a character is an age over 18, which aren't model sheets, and can't be filtered by stated_age -model_sheet

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to an age_in_dialogue tag, I can see how it would be useful, but also I'm pretty sure stated_age -model_sheet dialogue just about catches it all. stated_age dialogue leaves just 3 model sheets that happen to include dialogue

Edit: i cannot fucking read lol. There are several images that search doesn't catch. Yeah, age_in_dialogue would be good, I'll add it to the BUR implying stated_age
