Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: the_white_rabbit_(disney) -> the_white_rabbit

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #61932 the_white_rabbit_(disney) -> the_white_rabbit has been rejected.

Reason: The White Rabbit (Disney) is the same character as The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, with the latter already implicating the Alice in Wonderland tag.

EDIT: The tag alias the_white_rabbit_(disney) -> the_white_rabbit (forum #362280) has been rejected by @forestwander.

I think the same logic I used for keeping Alice (Disney) separate from the regular Alice (Alice in Wonderland) tag also applies here. The White Rabbit (Disney) is for Disney's specific iteration of the character since the animated movie is so well known and distinct from the Alice in Wonderland theme overall, especially since other versions of the character exist on the site.

I don't believe these are different enough to differentiate the character tags. The copyright tags already does that. Similarly to something like The Jungle Book there isn't a different tag for the book and Disney's adaptation and any other interpretation for every character because they're interpreting the same character.

The copyright tag...? Useless. What if Disney's Alice is present, but someone else's White Rabbit is? Disney the_white_rabbit would still find it because that Alice triggered the Disney copyright.
