Unsure on the alien part. Most of the time this comes up people argue that the alien tag itself is incompatible with TWYS (what does an alien look like?) and I can see that happening here too - they kinda just look like weird elephants.

Yes, but regardless of what the rules say, tagging is not purely TWYS. Nobody is out here tagging tabaxi, khajiit, catfolk, caitian, or any of the other specific types of cat people based solely on appearance, they are being tagged based on lore and intent. But yeah, alien does sit in a very weird place in the tag hierarchy.
