Topic: Request to tone down the auto-mod

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Is it a bug or a feature? I keep getting strikes for comments that should not have been warned. I don't know what I'm saying that keeps tripping it, but its getting annoying. Whenever I become critical, I get a warning. Could we maybe stop with that? Ima risk another one by criticizing the website now too.

literally none of your records were given by the auto moderator. if you feel like they were unfairly given to you, you should message the staff members that gave you them instead of bringing them up in the forum, since unless a staff member notices this thread, nobody here can remove your records.

Updated

when people are so used to abuse from other sites, they assume every site they go to will ban them for criticism

Try checking here: https://e621.net/user_feedbacks?search%5Buser_id%5D=141597

You can find this page on your profile by clicking the “list” link next to “feedback” on the right side of the page.

Also, to clarify, the auto moderator does not give records. It only sends the DMail informing you that you’ve received a record. There is no automatic moderation system in place for comments here. Pretty much all records are the result of somebody reporting you or one of your comments, and an admin or moderator acting on that report.

All records are made by hand, by a person. The automod delivers the message to you.

But regardless of how the record is issued, you should still read what it says you should stop doing.

Demanding that artists post uncensored paysite-resolution content is not criticism, it's telling them to voluntarily reduce the revenue they get from paysites. Unless you want to yourself provide free labor, I'd refrain from doing so.
Blacklist artists you don't like, and don't leave a single comment about it. If you're having trouble mass-blacklisting artists, consider using re621 (topic #25872) as it slaps a blacklist button next to every tag.

The classic give and take, haha. I don't think it's supposed to be give me everything or I'll take it, anyways. ;) Yeah, people time-lock content behind paywalls, for a good reason, not because they hate people seeing it. True.
