So I recently got a negative record from the auto-moderator from comments I made, and rightfully so as I wasn’t aware. However, out of curiosity, is there a way to get a positive record, or a negative record removal? I’m mostly curious in case there’s an opportunity for me in the future.

for starters, the negative record was DMed to you by Automod, the record was actually given to you by one of the staff members here (or, the auto moderator can't give out records). secondly, neutral and negative records, excluding permanent bans, do eventually decay (6 months for neutral to be removed, one year for a negative to decay down to neutral & removed, and a year and a half for temporary bans to decay twice & removed). lastly, positive records are given to users who make significant enough contributions to the site, and typically a staff member has to notice you or a user has to commend you for you to receive one.

After 6 months you may request that a negative record be changed to neutral or that a neutral be removed.
