So we have the underfoot tag, which is meant to be for pics with extreme_size_difference, where a smaller character is under a larger character's foot. That wiki insists that it's not applicable to characters closer in size, and that stepped_on is more appropriate in those cases.

But like...is it? Could'nt a micro character be "stepped on" and a normal-sized character be "under the foot" of another normal-sized character? I'm questioning this because I figured that I might have been tagging pics with the underfoot tag incorrectly, but looking into all of this, the semantics that differentiate these tags seem vague and loosely defined. Not helping this is the existence of under_foot and under_feet. And what about stomping and trampling?

I dunno, are the differences substantial enough that I'm just bugging? Or is this as messy as it seems to me?

I never tagged underfoot and I'm not sure if folks would know it exists and tag it accordingly. Like you said, it seems to mean the same thing as stomping.

I think that underfoot is more for situations where the character is stuck to another character's foot, where as stepped_on is for more active domination-type situations.

I guess the main point I'm trying to make is that, even though that's true, both of these terms as they currently are feel far too vague and can easily be conflated with each other.
