How long does it take for the blacklist to work? I just put fluffy_pony and scat in my blacklist and it's not working.

A blacklist works immediately, if configured properly. There are many common issues with how people create blacklists, though.
For instance, if you put fluffy_pony and scat on the same line, it would only blacklist posts with both tags. Putting them on separate lines would blacklist posts containing either tag.

you need to enable you blacklist in order to work
and be sure the tags are separated like:
scat
fluffy_pony
but if you do:
fluffy_pony scat
it will only blacklist posts that have fluffy_pony AND scat

Exactly what LilyaNida said. It's very likely you have them both on the same line, so the post needs to have both tags to be blacklisted. You need to put scat and fluffy_pony on different lines
If your blacklist is configured right, but some posts sneak through, add the appropriate tag to the post.
Even better: Feces (the object) and scat (the porn fetish, not the music like Betty Boop cartoons on here have) are separate tags. And yeah, I totally got tired of tagging that s... stuff. :P

You had a few errors on your blacklist, so I fixed it for you.
For reference, one tag per line.
If you put two per line, then the image would have to contain *both* of those for it to be filtered out.

I either never saw this or forgot it exists (most of it is common sense+reading the Wiki).
I feel like it might also be useful to have a list of things that automatically should be explicit or questionable, like a checklist of things you want to make sure you don't somehow fail to tag. Things mentioned there, along with: genitals, age-related (even non-sexualized nude cubs with clearly visible genitals for example still can't be rated:safe), humping/mounting even without visible genitals, breastfeeding (should be questionable? Have to check Wiki for breasts), humans, bestiality, and yes, obvious sexually related things like orgasms or penetration, and quite a lot of stuff I didn't think of.
I wonder if there's a way to get a list of all tags that force questionable or explicit ratings. I'll play around with search for a few minutes and see.

Also, it's out of date. "How many? solo, duo, group, zero_pictured" doesn't mention trio, and this seems to be why I see a lot of group tags on trios.

Is there a way to just have certain tags (e.g. urine, feces, gore) imply rating:e? Seems like it would be helpful.

Eh, no tags imply ratings afaik (pussy doesn't imply rating:e). So I doubt there's a way.

there are rating locked tags, like anus forces a post to always be explicit...
wait, I think that might be the only rating locked tag, because looking at posts with stuff like genitals and gore all have the ratings buttons visible in edit mode, but anus does not. w-why?
edit: no... it's just the first post I clicked on with anus with a locked rating, and the rest seem to not be? am I going crazy I swear this was a thing...
e2: yeah, looking at the edit history for posts with anus and having it's rating changed and, uhh, apparently this has never been a thing, I guess? it-- probably ought to be. is that really not something that'd be possible?

I guess it was so common that I just assumed. I think it has to be subjective, not objective, though. While anus -rating:explicit has 0 results, I think some of the other keywords like that do in fact have safe, or at the very least, questionable results.

What on earth. There is currently no way to imply ratings to tags. I have no idea how easy or not easy it would be, but it's not on the list right now. Tag rating locks are performed by other means, and the selection is always manual.
