Is indoors/outdoors actually correct for this? Indoors usually specifically means a building; I wouldn't consider being inside a cave to be indoors, or other enclosures that aren't buildings. That said, the current inside wiki doesn't exactly clarify that either.
For instance, post #3993063. It's currently tagged inside, and I think that's correct, while indoors_viewpoint would be somewhat wrong.

The main reasoning behind using indoors_viewpoint instead of inside_viewpoint is because it clarifies what is meant; for example if we have an internal view of a stomach in the case of vore, people may erroneously tag it as inside_viewpoint. The name is changed to reduce design induced human error.

Anyway, a change is necessary from inside due to mistags from being used without checking the wiki.

I would say it's a good compromise even though it may be awkward at times

+1 on this alias and the alias at topic #39265.

Out of curiosity, if outside and inside are currently tagged per the viewpoint of the picture, is there a separate tag for characters in an outdoors/outside location and a corresponding one for characters in an indoors/inside location? I'd imagine if they existed, they'd be mentioned on the wiki pages for outside and inside, but they are not.
