The tag implication #51402 fluffy_pony -> friendship_is_magic has been rejected.
Reason: As the wiki page says, "they are a subset of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fandom".
EDIT: The tag implication fluffy_pony -> friendship_is_magic (forum #371282) has been rejected by @slyroon.

A subset of the fandom doesn't necessarily mean it's inherently related to official FiM stuff, like how Fakemon spun off from Pokemon, but isn't inherently Pokemon.

The reason for tags is so users can sort posts and, if need be, block them. As it stands now, if a user was to block "my little pony", they would still see "fluffy pony" posts, which would not be pleasant.

and with the tag implied people searching for my_little_pony they would see fluffy_pony, which would not be pleasant. what's your point?
also you're assuming that people who don't want to aee MLP will also neccisarally not want to see fluffy pony stuff, which I can guarantee is not true.

Because Fluffy Pony isn't My Little Pony. The MLP tag is for things that are canonically part of the MLP series, owned by Hasbro, not things like MLP or spun out of its fandom. Them's Fightin' Herds doesn't imply MLP either, despite also being something spun out of the FiM fandom (and also having the same art/character designer as FiM).

If your goal is to not see fluffy pony posts, just blacklist "fluffy_pony". I've always sought to make that as easy as possible. There's instructions on my bio.
