Reason: Never done this before so not sure it's in the right order. But anyway, we should stick with the singular when it comes to "sticker," "sticker_on*", etc to avoid redundancy and keep things tidy. There doesn't need to be a tag for multiple stickers and one sticker.
"Sticker_pack" may be redundant but it does have a distinct use, it should just imply "telegram_sticker" because that's what they contain. "Sticker_pack" should also join "telegram_sticker" as a meta tag.
These tags should also get more detailed wiki pages, with clarification that "sticker" is for the physical object in the image while "telegram_sticker" refers to the type of image, like we do with "photo" and "photography_(artwork)." Might be worth updating "sticker" to have a disambiguation tag temporarily to get that sorted out too.

You should remove the updates, if you're aliasing anyway.

I wasn't positive if I needed to have the update, I thought if it's just aliased it only updates when the tags get edited next. Still seems like that's the case since apparently there's already an alias for stickers -> sticker but posts are still tagged stickers.

There's no active alias for stickers -> sticker, only a pending one in topic #36184.
An alias, once approved, immediately moves over all existing instances of the tag.

I think messaging_sticker could be a better name than telegram sticker since it's brand-neutral. Also should be in the meta category, if it is to exist at all
(I hope it does continue to exist though. I like it, and we do already have wallpaper which is a similar tag)

I do see the point in that but I also feel like telegram sticker is such a common colloquialism it should remain the tag. I can't think of any other social media/chat client that lets you use custom stickers like that - Discord might but I'm not sure. Definitely worth debating though.

I don't think we should keep the singular telegram_sticker/messaging_sticker. Such a sticker can look indistinguishable from a non-sticker (typically a character bust and/or reaction image), the only difference being the artist says it's one or not.
