What purpose does this tag serve that isn’t just skeleton?

Endoskeleton is a robotics term for the base machinery under things like Animatronics, if you want an example the t-800_series_(terminator) has a silver robotic endoskeleton under the arnold_schwarzenegger outside, skeleton is organic matter

So the wiki should be rewritten to specifically exclude organic skeletons, then?
"Endoskeleton" is a catch-all term for the internal structure of any living or robotic being.

we already have exposed_bone for organics, I feel like using endoskeleton to refer to spesifically robots and creatures with cybernetics would be fine.

In general skeleton is for Organic Matter and endoskeleton is for Robotics
