This should be an alias. But I'm not sure if there's (functionally, for tagging purposes) a difference between nudism, naturism, and casual_nudity/social_nudity

I guess there’s some pseudo-philosophy behind naturism? But you can’t really see that in an image, so I’d stick with those nudity tags.

Do you think aliasing naturism and nudism both to casual_nudity would be alright? (Imo social_nudity should imply casual_nudity and casual_exposure/social_exposure should be a separate thing, topic #21187 but that may still need discussion)

That seems like a good plan.

The bulk update request #5445 is pending approval.

remove alias nudism (0) -> nudist (1086)

Reason: The OP and topic #40069 (nice-) need to be rejected first because of transitives... this is the only line I add right now

Part 2
alias nudism -> casual_nudity
alias nudist -> casual_nudity
alias naturist -> casual_nudity
alias naturism -> casual_nudity

Hrmm, I guess you can only tell if they're a nudist if they are casually nude.

Oppose aliasing to casual_nudity.

nudist wiki says:
"... Posts containing this tag typically have nudism explicitly mentioned somewhere in the image, but other images may be considered applicable if there is sufficient evidence that a character, or group of characters, is a nudist or is participating in nudism."

Example: there are some artworks where nudism or naturism is mentioned, but no one is nude.

Some examples:
1) naturism (naturists) and nudism (nudists) discussed at
post #2051296

2) ultilix artwork of guy in robe talking about nudism
post #3242021
(tagged with naturism, naturist, and nudist)

Invert the aliases in part 2 and we're good. "Casual nudity" is a bigger mouthful I reckon.

We don't normally use the context of dialog to dictate tagging. E.g. if someone says "I'm a male", we don't tag male if it doesn't fit TWYS, so similarly for someone saying "I'm a nudist", we shouldn't tag nudist if it doesn't fit TWYS. Not only is it possible for characters to lie, or be mistaken, but translated dialog can be an issue since often things can be translated in different ways that may or may not confer the same meaning (and since translations here are done on a volunteer basis, there's not much check for quality and accuracy). It's one thing to tag the text itself (e.g. if it contains the word "fuck", it's profanity regardless of meaning or context), but the meaning of the dialog shouldn't be used for tagging.
