Reason: The African Marigold flower (that could be just implied to be marigold_(flower)) is used in Day of the Dead in Mexico, is the orange flower in the offerings.
But, not many mexicans (myself included), knows that "marigold" is the English name of Cempasuchil, which is the Spanish name of the flower (in Mexico at least), so aliasing it to african_marigold would fix problems to any Spanish speaker.

Also, keeping both "cempasuchil_(flower)" and "marigold_(flower)" helps both English and Spanish speakers find the tag with the flower itself.
