Reason: Synonyms. womb_tattoo actually has more images, but pubic tattoo is more general.

Previous rejection notwithstanding, having both is redundant unless there's some meaningful way they're different such that having both helps people find things they're into. I'm not entirely convinced by the reasoning given in the previous thread. I'd need to see some images where one applies but not the other.

womb_tattoo is generally in reference to the design of the tattoo, it being a stylized depiction of a womb.

pubic_tattoo is the location of the tattoo, being in the pelvic/pubic area.

It's not how it's described in the wiki page, either. The descriptions of both types are pretty much identical.

Not according to the wiki:

Which is very similar:

I wouldn't consider a tagger mistagging if it's exactly as the wiki describes, and there's plenty of uses that aren't "a stylized depiction of a womb" for the tag to seem useful as it is.

okay well, I fixed the wiki, I swear I did that when this came up a year ago, but it's done now. now we have two separate tags that explicitly serve two separate but often related purposes.

...and now I went through all 4000-something posts that were under womb_tattoo and removed every example that I believed does not fit the definition and replaced it with pubic_tattoo and any other relevant tags. so, everything in there at the time of posting should fit the definition. _{(I did not add pubic_tattoo to every post that was properly tagged with womb_tattoo, because that would have raised the amount of time this took roughly tenfold)}

while I was doing that I also picked up some examples of things I believed should be tagged womb_tattoo in places other than the pubic area:

there were a few other cases, but those are a representative sample.

_{also, I found it amusing that there actually was an actual existing example of the exact "YCH" pubic tattoo that I gave as a hypothetical above.}
