Think about this animation for example:

This is a nice little animated short with a dog girl.
Her name is Rory and belongs to ceehaz, we got the rory_(ceehaz) tag for it
The animation was done by connivingrat, so his artist tag is added connivingrat
But he definetly didnt do the model and none of the images that use the model on the rory tag contain any sort of indication of the who made the model, guys not credited anywhere, i know it, i looked!
Now this is a very good 3d model and I would like to see more of who made this 3d model, i did eventually get in touch with the guy after asking around with ceehaz but thats besides the point, you get the idea!
3d art as we enjoy it; much more often than 2d art; tends to be a bit more of a cooperative effort and I feel it would be right to awkoledge all the parts that went into the creation of it, with an exeption being models ripped straight from games or media that contain just minor edits. Animator's tag should be enough there.
Im sure its far more complicated than just like adding "Domblo_tomblo(3d_model)" on the artist tags and i figured general rulings like that require a lot of restructuring which isnt often worth it but i just wanted to give my two cents on it.
