MemberI have a real question ๐ค what is keeping furries from making actual Nsfw-art from ceehaz characters? Like does ceehaz have a team of lawyers or swat team on standby in case of Nsfw? Like...bruh...
NotARobot 25
MemberIf an artist wanted an NSFW version of their art...they would make it themselves, or have someone change it for them. It isn't illegal to modify art (I think) but some artists don't like it, especially if it isn't clear that they didn't make the NSFW version and it ruins the reputation they're trying to build.
Thekingofchoas
MemberBut on there twitter they have nsfw on there though so what is holding people back?

Memberif you ask me, other artists just respect ceehaz's hardcore bait tactics and follow suit when they wanna draw dog rpg fanart
it certianly seems conniving rat does:

MemberI think it's the fact that doing so would mark you as some kind of sleaseball. Imagine you had a persona, and some rando who liked seeing them in situations you didn't started drawing said persona in those exact situations. You'd be kinda upset, wouldn't you?
Practices like 'Imma take your characters and do what I want to with them.' is how a lot of artists have just thrown up their hands and left the fandom, or completely retreated behind paywalls.

MemberI think if she had flipped a double bird after letting her top go back into place, it would have been priceless.

MemberThere is one frame that you can see some actual nip as the top snaps back up
No need to thank me, do with that information what you will

MemberTime to finally break my years long lurking streak to give the clearest answer: I went ahead and asked, and he has said that lewd fanart is fine, so long as you don't tag him in twitter posts. I even asked the cast's sexualities, he's stated their all bi save for Maci, who's got a boyfriend, bruno. I've both drawn and had some others draw fanarts of that nature, as well as some clean stuff. (dont ask for it yet I'm still learning to draw here)
this was also a year ago, however, so it's possible he hanged his mind.
People are fickle sometimes. in Ceehaz himself simply isn't into /drawing/ full on nsfw stuff, and that's basically it. there have been a few other artists that don't draw hardcore porn of their characters, but are fine if otherss do it with permission. Also, as an aside the idea of official artists drawing lewd ruining their reputation, well, it's shid. there's been examples, albeit rare, where people who've made official media, also having been drawing porn before and after. (Bobbypills/Balak comes to mind. Guy's drawn some wild smut and has worked on LastMan, which is fucking awesome btw)
at the end of the day, best idea is to ask if you want the best answer, and respect the wished of said answer. Simple as.

MemberArt is a difficult thing. You need several things. Skill, supplies, time, effort, and the will to do what must be done and follow through 100%. Alternatively, you need a commissioner, someone to fork over the money for all of those things. Many artists will doodle in their free time, but when they're doing it for someone else, it's considered work. And nobody likes to work for free.

MemberJust because something doesn't have very much or any NSFW art does not mean that it's not popular.
The two go hand in hand, but are not themselves a requirement of the other. I mean, fucking Sausage Party has R34 - SAUSAGE PARTY!
Bodom
Memberwhy is there no NSFW version? it's not on his twitter or patreon

MemberI get that, the best thing to do is to make the animation yourself and keep it to yourself. Nobody likes the type of guy that shares porn of someone's creation.
I mean, look at Rivet... we didn't even know her name before everyone started making hentai of her. Not saying I hate it, I'm just saying that's kind of odd to just see something and just make porn out of it. Everyone knew about the invisible man controversy in Transylvania 4.
