We don't imply missing_* with their associated surgical act. In this case, hemicorporectomy is defined on Wikipedia as "radical surgery in which the body below the waist is amputated, transecting the lumbar spine."
The reason behind that is because a missing lower half is not always the result of surgery or trauma, it may also include portal_amputation or detachable parts.
