Topic: [REJECTED] Tag implication: decapitation -> gore

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag implication #53141 decapitation -> gore has been rejected.

Reason: I don't know why this isn't a thing already, but yeah having heads cut off should imply this so people don't get to see something unsettling.

Naturally there's going to be a little overlap from things that aren't gore, such as this. To correct this, I recommend using a tag such as mounted_trophy instead. Not necessarily gore, but it expresses the content far more clearly.

Gore is commonly associated with violence and large volumes of blood.
Decapitations do not always depict blood, such as on a character that does not shed any blood (e.g., animated_skeleton) or "censored" in a way (e.g., shadow of a decapitation, silhouette).

I think there is already trophy_head, which would serve as a better and more specific tag.
On the other hand, mounted_trophy sounds vague and looks like it can include anything mounted on a wall.

Decapitation is invalid for this post, it's an action not an adjective or noun if you get what I mean. if an head is already decapitated disembodied head or severed head would be better tags.

But for some reason severed_head implies decapitation, which seems wrong to me. There's no actual decapitation being performed in many posts tagged with severed_head.
