Topic: Tag Alias: trading_card_game -> tcg

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

We definitely don't need both, but I'm leaning towards a reverse alias. I think that it might be better to be more specific as tcg isn't very descriptive, even if it's a common acronym. Plus, it would work slightly better with wildcard searches. :P

tcg is currently set as a copyright tag.
From what I remember, aliasing tags of different types can cause various problems. Dunno if that's been fixed, but if not, it should probably be switched to general before the alias.

...why is it a copyright tag anyway? Are there any other possible uses for 'tcg'?

Furoticon© The Card Game©, I'm assuming.

It's fixed now at any rate. And definitely not because I thought I accidentally changed it instead of a different tag.

Flipped it first before aliasing it. Trading_card_game is a lot more clear to understand for a variety of user backgrounds and non-native-english speakers. Also, we try to avoid using abbreviations and acronyms in most cases, because they require outside knowledge to know what it's for and they can easily stand for more than one thing or be misread/misinterpreted. But when carefully vetted, they can make for nice aliased shorthand in some cases. In this case that will work, so approved as tcg to --> trading_card_game.

Also made sure both forms of it are a general tag now.
