Topic: [APPROVED] Tag implication: painless_gore -> gore

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag implication #53602 painless_gore -> gore has been approved.

Reason: (Was nervous about suddenly spamming a new tag without community approval so that's why it's currently empty. I've been adding posts to this set for now: https://e621.net/post_sets/55621 Will add this tag to all of them via a tag script if people support it.)

What do you guys think of painless_gore as a tag for when a character with severe gory injuries doesn't appear to be bothered by it? Is painless_gore a good name? Most of candy_gore would fit, but also plenty of more realistic gore images. See my set for examples.
This tag would be quite useful for blacklists I think. I personally will probably be updating the gore line of my own blacklist to gore -candy_gore -painless_gore if this becomes a thing.

EDIT: The tag implication painless_gore -> gore (forum #387740) has been approved by @spe.

I like the tag! I think it is very much valid.
Look at this!

Joyous expression!
It might be offputting for some people and deserves to be blacklisted. Or, on the contrary, some might be more comfortable seeing this kind of gore vs the pained one.

My only issue with your set is this lil guy called meat cat(carlarzall):

His head is like that. I’m not sure his face was chopped off, the character just has steak for a face.

I don’t think painless gore should be tagged if the face and facial traits aren’t visible.

to be frank, the half of the gore posts are really ambiguous or barely showing any pain inflicted on them, unless if you have emotion tags like "crying", "screaming" or "pain" tags on them which explicitly shows the pain of the character.
most of the time, the characters in gore posts are dead, which technically falls over "painless" because y'know... - they're dead and not experience pain reacts anymore.

the character is probably an object-head and the shape of the steak head is a pun on the cat's head.

It seems to me that dying would be a pretty bothersome thing?

Maybe we can change the name to something like positive or happy gore, for when characters are outright joyous despite showing big gashes and injuries, like the post #4371381 I mentionned earlier.

True, removed meat cat from the set

Corpses would be excluded from the tag, they're really not the point of the tag. Very ambiguous images probably shouldn't recieve the tag (I was overzealous in adding the meat cat images).

My only problem with happy_gore/positive_gore is that I feel like images like this should count:
The character's not happy, but he just looks annoyed, he doesn't look like he's in any pain to me. His reaction isn't at all proportionate to what happened lol. That particular image is actually what inspired me to make this thread.
If people disagree with images like this getting the tag though, then happy_gore would be a great name
