Topic: Uploading content from Patreon if the artist's Patreon is defunct?

Posted under Art Talk

If a piece by an artist was originally Patreon exclusive, and their Patreon has since been taken down and the artist has given me permission to upload the pic, is there a way to prove the pic is now acceptable to upload? Or should I defer that to the artist?

I think this itself overrides any DNP stuff, but idk how you'd tell the admins you were allowed

If the artist gives you explicit permission, then it ends there. That's allowed. Ensure you provide proof.

As for if they didn't, paysite content is always dnp.

A picture I had uploaded got deleted as Patreon-exclusive content. I'm pretty sure I said in the upload that the artist's Patreon no longer exists and I was given permission from the artist, but it was deleted anyway. Just wanted to see if I did something wrong.

Message the staff member that deleted it with proof that the artist gave you permission, and ask them to add it to your staff notes for future reference. Telling the staff member you had permission after a deletion is unfortunately going to be a common occurrence.
