I'm not really a fan of these Japanese names. (Including wariza and yokozuwari)

Seiza is a ritual with a specific cultural context and meaning to it. You can sit on your heels and not be sitting seiza, in the same way that you can sit with your legs crossed and not be in a padmasana pose, so this is equivalent to aliasing legs_crossed to lotus_pose or something
