Topic: [REJECTED] Tag implication: gore_focus -> gore

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The wiki says "Despite the name of the tag, not every post is gory..."

What's the point of this tag? I'm not really getting it from the wiki. I feel like imminent_death or perhaps a new imminent_gore tag or something would work better for images like post #4523013 which aren't gory but are clearly a character in danger. Maybe the wiki is just poorly written?

this probably should imply, but also looking at its wiki and usage its definition is very strange compared to its name. it seems to encompass both *_focus-type situations and also immenent_*-type situations, as well as just like rape and abuse.

Joe Public and Alan Smithee can write the wikis that doesn't make them right or official. This is a *_focus tag it should reflect other *_focus tags.

Seems to have been an addition here, the previous version makes no such mention.

Interestingly, the change was made by the original creator of the wiki page.

gore_focus should absolutely imply gore, and anything that isn't gore shouldn't be tagged with it. This is almost as bad as tagging female_focus on a male character.

kinda seems like they're just trying to make a general "things I don't like" tag.

Seems pretty simple to me, if an image's primary focus is gore, then it should be tagged gore...
