Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: bipedal_feral -> biped_feral

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I am rather greatly confused about this rejection. supposedly being grammatically incorrect is not justification for deny a alias, besides the fact that it is a short hand not a grammatically incorrect word.

for consistency the <adjective>_<noun> tag form is preferred when possible.

biped is both a adjective and noun... you talk consistency however this rejection suggests the opposite given what we use for every other that for 2 legged and 4 legged characters.

I don't think biped is an adjective, bipedal is the adjective

please check the quoted dictionary definition of biped in my initial response above.

EDIT: and looking into it, so do most dictionaries other than Oxford; Merriam-Webster, Cambridge, Wiktionary, they all only consider the word a noun.

From Merriam-Webster

Medical Definition

biped
noun
bi·ped ˈbī-ˌped
: a two-footed animal
biped adjective
or bipedal
(ˈ)bī-ˈped-ᵊl
bipedally adverb

In regard to Cambridge they are not explicit but list multiple examples that do use biped as a adjective.
