I've been mulling over whether that would be too aggressive, but that was my plan. fingerless_gloves + [color]_gloves should be more than suitable.

Anyway does anyone object to having the fingerless gloves and elbow gloves tag pruned of their incoming implications? Or would that be far too aggressive to have them reduced down to [adjective]_gloves + fingerless/elbow_gloves

Also, it's too late now, but I do wonder why the colors and such weren't aliased to the respective *_fingerless_gloves tag instead of just fingerless_gloves itself. Not a huge deal since they already implied them so all the relevant posts had the tag already, but still a bit odd.

Makes sense. Been trying to use tags like green_gloves in those cases, instead of green_4-fingured_gloves_with_red_tips_and_on_a_monday. SNPtheCat mentioned the green_fingerless_gloves issue as well.

I like the hybrid tags when they let me automatically do several implications, but then I usually have no use for them after that. Oh well... TBF, I've been going through tags added by IKYM and the other 2 usual suspects and cleaning them up.

Both of those were already tagged with fingerless_elbow_gloves anyway through implications.

It's actually the opposite.
It's weird that I am saying this, but for example rainbow_fingerless_elbow_gloves implied multicolored_fingerless_elbow_gloves, which implied fingerless_elbow_gloves.
So now 1~3 meaningless tags are gone from every post due to this BUR.

Either way, it's a disprovement rather than an improvement, and for what? to get rid of ONE EXTRA TAG on each post...

If a person wants to see fingerless_elbow_gloves, they can use fingerless_gloves elbow_gloves.
Same goes to colors,
fingerless_gloves elbow_gloves pink_gloves will show you the same result as pink_fingerless_elbow_gloves.

I wasn't happy with this BUR actually, but I'm also sure not many people look up for *_fingerless_elbow_gloves. And if they want to do so for some reason, they can use a combination of 2 or 3 tags.

We've already established it's for the sake of cleanup in tag lists so that people can more easily find what they're looking for without getting bogged down by clutter.
