We already know the furry community is vast and varied, taking interest in humanising many animals for either “l’art pour l’art” or lewding them to satisfy a kink.

As such, alongside the classic definition of a furry, we have scalies as well, which include reptile and fish humanoids, but there’s no such special umbrella tag for arthropods/insects/bugs.

That’s why I’d like to introduce the anthropod tag. It’s a portmanteau of anthro and arthropod, meaning anthropomorphic arthropod. I found this pun in a random furry crush tier list video on YouTube (maybe from Nux Taku or IDK) and I thought this pun would be a clever umbrella term for anthropomorphic arthropods.

I hope you like my idea and remove the redirection to the arthropod tag, make the anthropod tag seperate and add every single post containing both the anthro and arthropod tags into this anthropod umbrella tag.

furry is an invalid tag and scalie refers to all species with reptilian features, not just anthros. If we were to add a tag only for anthro arthropods, it'd go directly against the tags you quoted, and would be redundant. anthro arthropod -feral would probably net you the same results.

Scalies and animal humanoids exist as special umbrella tags as they are popular concepts that predates this website itself and are distinct subgroups of furry.

On the other hand, "anthropod" is not that well established and will be highly prone to mistags of actual arthropods if unaliased.
Blanket tagging every post that contains anthro and arthropod is a terrible idea as it will include so many false positives (e.g., post #2221868) that it might as well be worthless.
In addition, there is no precedent for <species>_<form> (with the exception of the aforementioned *_humanoid tags) so a hypothetical arthropod_anthro tag would not work anyways.

If you still want to compile posts from this category, I would suggest using a set instead that you can keep private or share around.
