Topic: should finger_lick really imply finger_fetish?

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

currently there are a bunch of posts featuring characters licking their fingers while/after eating and it seems very odd that these are being tagged as finger_play and by extension finger_fetish. finger_lick is also the only tag to imply finger_play.

honestly, finger_fetish dosn't even really feel like a coherent enough concept to be tagged in the first place, it's weird to me that it even has the implications and aliases it does have...

oh, that explains it, I guess. these were within the sets of AIBURs that Ms. Dice created without discussion.

so umm, would there be any objections to just burning these two tags to the ground or what?

you might want to separate the ellipsis from your last link due to how dtext handles that

The finger_lick implication should definitely go though, but i'm curious whether finger_fetish and finger_play could be valid. I'm drawing a blank at the examples though

also, note BUR #758, essentially the same problem. the BUR got exclusively +1s, although the topic lacked any discussion beyond the OP

honestly, the way the finger_play wikipage describes it, it sounds more like a mouth thing than a finger thing. although finger_fetish also includes them being used as the "principle tool for stimulation". it just seems odd to try to define a character using their hands to interact with and manipulate stuff as a fetish when like, that's just what hands do.

the only thing I can possibly think of that might be described as a "finger fetish" would have to be some kind of human_fetish-type thing where a character who naturally lacks fingers has a fascination with a character who has them. so, like-- Grovile from Monster Mind might be described as having a "finger fetish" with the way she tends to talk about the player character's hand/glove/thing, although, maybe that's be better described as an "opposable thumb fetish".

I'm aware enough of Onceler glove porn to think finger/hand fetish is a legitimate thing, but those definitions are so broad that they're absolutely not useful.
