Topic: About post editing

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I was curious when I noticed this.

"Edit" Can this function in a post be accessed by anyone? Like, can anyone edit a post and write whatever they want, whether with the intention of promoting their work?

Some people that I may have already seen write something in the post may not even be the creator of the work?

This was something I thought of, or I can imagine that this function could be something more to help an artist new to the site to select the tags correctly for their work, as sometimes there is a warning of Invalid Tag

Btw, thank you to whoever ends up reading and clarifying this little doubt, have a great night!

Yes, tags on all posts are crowd-sourced.
Posts are typically sourced by third parties too, mind you.

Anyone can edit posts, unless they have editing privileges disabled due to consistent misuse. Anyone can add valid tags even if you're not the creator, but you shouldn't add incorrect or invalid tags (e.g. tagging penis when a penis isn't visible, or eyes which is invalid). The description should be something the artist, character owner, or commissioner put with their upload, and shouldn't be something made up by the uploader if they're not the artist, character owner, or commissioner.

We can't even disable editing posts for any user, we just ban them if they're that much of a problem
