This BUR convinced me to finally watch the first episode of this. Did they... seriously achieve making an anime that makes just as much sense as that bobobo-bo_bo-bobo dub that aired on Cartoon Network in 2005? I mean, very different vibe, but just as much nonsense. This show is, like, nonstop non-sequitur situations parodying anime tropes, and what feels like set-ups for psychological horror being subverted and being made cute and silly. 9/10.

TBH I still haven't watched it. A few interesting things I have heard:
- In the manga it is slightly implied the MC is transfem (makes sense, antlers)
- The literal translation of the title is "Deer girl doesn't care as a cute baby tiger watches her intently"

Yep,
Shikanoko = deer girl/kid (also the name of a character in the show)
Nokonoko = "onomatopoeia" for nonchalantly
Koshitantan = vigilantly/eagle-eyed. Based on the kanji spelling, "ko shi" is presumably from Chinese for something like "watched by tiger" + "tantan" = onomatopoeia for "eagerly".
