Why would anyone need this tag though? We did away with tail, isn't having fingers almost as ubiquitous? (holy hell I think I spelled that right on the first try)

From what I've seen they're supposed to contrast paws. I'm not sure of the purpose at this point either.

Hmmm, that's a fair point, I suppose I can see that... I'm still not entirely sure anyone would ever want to search for/blacklist fingers all by themselves though. Perhaps the tag is supposed to be there to differentiate characters that USUALLY have paws/hooves/whatever instead of hands, but I don't think that's how it's currently being handled, plus it's a terrible name for a tag in that case.
I instead propose that we make super broad tags like fingers for when the piece focuses on that aspect a lot more than normal. Take these images already tagged with fingers for examples.
post #554486 If we decided to only use them for a focus on fingers, this image should be tagged fingers
post #522097 While this one shouldn't
Could work?

If it was tagged a lot more widely, I would probably use it to pull out anthro posts that aren't tagged. I'm not against using it for closeup pictures, but I'm not sure how much that will stick usage-wise (although it doesn't look like many people use it anyways.
Related thought: We also have human_hands which, on the face of it, seems like it should imply fingers...which would probably water this down a lot (you know...if it was tagged as much as it technically should be).

They usually come in plural and there isn't much of a reason to have both tags as even if we split the meaning it would get cluttered very quickly. Approved
