The tag alias #72294 umbreon_ear_kink -> ear_play has been rejected.
Reason: This is a tag made for ear play that only involves a certain species, it should be aliased to ear_play so we don’t get flooded with a million variations of species tags for it.
Alternatively could be aliased to ear_fetish, but ear play is more populated.
EDIT: The tag alias umbreon_ear_kink -> ear_play (forum #419102) has been rejected by @Manitka.

Every single addition is by Xaviournos over about a five minute period earlier today. The idea seems to be just treating the ears (which lack any obvious openings like most creatures' ears would) as phallic objects.
It's certainly novel, but i don't currently see why this wouldn't include other characters like Renamon and Pikachu that have the same "cylindrical ear with no apparent opening" design, and yet I have completely failed to find any non-Umbreon examples of this kind of content.
If such content can be proven to exist for other characters/species then I'd rather alias to something broader that still indicates treating the ears as phallic objects, vs. the broader sphere of non-phallic ear play.

I'm mixed. This is definitely ear play, and it definitely shouldn't be named this, but also it's pretty specific.
Also there's ear riding, which seems to be a subset of that tag

Apparently it is based off one artist doing it with umbreons and then other people started doing it. Maybe a new tag for it then? Perhaps aliasing it to phallic_ear_play and then having that implicate ear_play ?

Yeah, it’s a little too specific especially with what lafcadio said, because this could be done with other species with similar ear structures.

Yeah, this is kind of a mess. I feel like ear_riding should be removed and replaced with phallic_ear_play or whatever tag we can figure out to replace the overly specific ones.
ear_riding is clearly better than phalic_ear_play. Not only does is sound better and is more in tune to how someone would try to search for this type of content without knowing about the tag yet.
Also allows for more type of ear shapes as others mentioned before, since there's more shapes that could be utilized other than just stiff phallic shapes that could engage in this type of activity.
Perhaps there is a better Tag? (Suggestion below) ; But only the default ear_play (this kind of post also get this tag to be fair) or phallic_ear_play just ain't very good options out of the ones presented so far.
(If a new more specific tag is desired)
My own suggestion would be ear_penetrating ; It describes the action very well
(Since It makes it clear that it's an ear that penetrates something, it's both specific and not restrictive to the ear type or what it's inserted into and is a natural term someone would search without knowing the tag yet)
and is in essence the opposite counterpart of ear_penetration

Ear_riding is not better because some of the examples are basically fellatio with an ear instead of a penis. But ear_penetrating could work.
I'm not sure of an alias is necessary, to me this seems like a specific enough trend to leave it as its own tag.
ear_penetrating is ubiquitous enough for this tag to be aliased to. Should someone wish to include a specific instance of this they would just have to add the umbreon tag into the search / tag onto the post.

When I first stumbled across those posts, I never thought tagging it could reveal such an original concept so underused that it would spark such debate over it's self.
I also agree that pikachu and renamon are underrepresented in this field, but that's the reason it was so apparent/specific in the first place!

This should be ear_penetration, which already exists with implications

I mean what do you suggest? I'm up for any ideas, I just think it's way better than just having it as ear play, or having it as the ultra specific umbreon_ear_play

I would suggest insertion but that's aliased to penetration, so really there probably isn't anything better

marquise_ear_sex or elliptical_ear_sex could work as that would cover all characters with that ear type.
It might itself be somewhat specific but at least has a wider coverage.

idk what either of those mean so I'm worried that those will not be used properly what so ever
"marquise" seems like a fine way to describe the pikachu/renamon/umbreon ear shape, but phallic ear play doesn't necessarily need to be exclusive to marquise ears.

The only other ones I can think of would be reverse_ear_penetration, reverse_ear_sex or reverse_ear_play and whatnot, that's the thought anyway. where the ear is the assertive/instigating action.
