Hi, so, I don't currently want it removed, but I was wondering, is it possible to request a character tag be removed (assuming I own the character)

IIRC, I think being the owner of a character (and not being Nintendo) is one of the only conditions where the site says you have the right to file a takedown claim, the only other ones being the artist or the commissioner.

If you mean removing posts with the tag, yes, takedown. Removing the tag itself is a bit trickier; simply removing it from the posts it's on is doable by anyone, but doing so without renaming the tag or such could be considered tag griefing.

We might want to change its wiki, unless we're okay with it being an umbrella tag for characters whose owners want the name anonymised AND characters who are detailed, nameless, and without canon.

Nameless_character or unknown_character might work. I don't think that there's currently an 'untaggable character' type tag.

That might prompt searches from folks who think they're being helpful by "identifying" the character. Same with anonymous character above.

Maybe a new tag specifically for this purpose would be prudent. Maybe character identity redacted or do not identify or something along those lines but a bit less clunkily phrasing.

I'd prefer if anonymous_character was used for this purpose, to match anonymous_artist. This seems like a wiki issue. Anonymous_character even already has a character aliased to it
